If providing the machine ID and serial number of any modem you own, please be clear on which number is which. If you are planning to keep a Cogeco cable TV plan or Home phone plan etc, please be sure to mention that in the notes area of the order, otherwise they will likely end when you switch to us. If you are locked into a contact with Cogeco, then you would not be able to switch to us until the contract ends.
Please note that it is your obligation if watching and downloading movies, TV series, and other content using your high speed internet package to make sure that you are doing so legally. Once you do such activity your IP address is usually noticeable to such sites and is kept by them (and maybe others) and might be given by those sites to companies which search for folks from who have illegally copied copyrighted materials employing their high speed internet plan. Those companies might then send us 'copyright infringement notices' as per the Copyright Act, for us to e-mail to you, and we have no legal option but to e-mail them to you, therefore please be selective in what you view or download (and from where), with your broadband internet package as all activity is not 'anonymous' whatever others may assure you.
