Alternative Internet Providers Toronto

Alternative internet providers Toronto, that is the topic of todays blog post. Are you looking for an alternative internet service provider in Toronto? Are there any alternative internet service providers in Toronto? Do they even exist? Or does one company have a monopoly on providing internet in Toronto? Could there be more than one internet service provider in Toronto, offering high speed internet?

Please input your Postal Code in the text box below, with a blank space between the first three characters and the remaining 3 characters, for instance A2A 2A2.

Please understand that for Postal Codes the second character needs to be a 'number' not a 'letter', and in the second set of three characters, the 1st character is a 'number'. For example A3A 4G8, and the last character needs to be a number. (Lower case characters will be converted into upper case characters for you.) If you type the characters wrong you will be shown an error message.

If you get an error message, this means the Postal Code was either missing a space after the third character, or you have entered a letter where a number needs to be, or a number where a letter should be. Just fix it and then click on 'search'.

I used to have my home internet from Rogers, then I switched from Rogers internet to WRS Web Solutions Inc. home internet. It was cheaper. I still get my home internet over the exact same coax cable TV line that comes into my home from the road right up to my modem, except that now it from a different company. That company basically 'rents' the Rogers coax cable TV line, in order to connect my home to their internet. It works just fine. The only real down side is that I no longer get cable TV channels, (but I also no longer have to pay for a whole bunch of channels that seldom seemed to have anything on that I wanted to watch, maybe it was just me, maybe I was just picky in what shows I like to watch). As an alternative to cable TV channels I also subscribed to Netflix (directly from Netflix), and then wished that I had made the switch years ago! At the same time I disconntinued the Home phone, that we were seldom ever using, and now we just use our mobile phones.

WRS Web Solutions Inc. began in 2010 as a web hosting comany, and they still offer all that stuff, but now their main focus is being an alternative internet provider in Toronto the GTA and every home in Ontario that has a Rogers coax cable TV line running to it, (or is able to have one run to it, and they can arrange that as well). If your home has a Rogers coax cable TV line, then you can order their internet plans. To see their plans and prices, please click here. (They also offer internet in other provinces too.) If your home was not able to get a Rogers coax cable TV line, then they might be able to still get you internet plans over a DSL capable phone line, but you would have to ask them to make sure that your address can be serviced before placing an order. (They should then reply to you by email within 24 hours. They do not check addresses by phone, or take orders by phone.)

WRS Web Solutions Inc. is not the only alternative internet provider in Toronto. There are other alternative internet providers Toronto. TekSavvy is one, vMedia is another.

Rogers is not the only internet service provider in Toronto. They might be the biggest internet service provider in Toronto, but they are not the only internet service provider. If you want to get Toronto high speed internet from Rogers, then you should have no difficulty calling them at 1-888-653-0376, and placing an order, so we won't discuss that option futher in this blog post. 😃
